Brief Summary - A gutsy group of scientist and explorers travel to a distant moon seeking clues about the origin of mankind.
Rating - On a scale of 1 to 10 [10 being the highest] this ambitious film deserves an 8.
Movie Strengths - Stimulating plot, astounding special effects, an impressive cast; Noomi Rapace [from the original dutch movies the Girl with the Dragon Tatto trilogy] is splendid! Who knew Charlize Theron could be such a convincing b*tch and Michael Fassbender as an android put Data [from StarTrek] to shame.
Movie Weaknesses - Viewers are left with too many questions that we will probably have to wait a year for answers in the sequel. Why can't directors make complete movies? :(
Final Thoughts - Ridley Scott hit the jackpot yet again, any other director would have failed miserably to deliver such a spectacle of a movie. Although Prometheus seems like its a little ahead of its time both visually and theoretically, that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you are a Sci-Fi fan I grantee you will absolutely love the connections Prometheus makes to other famous Ridley Scott movies.
